Warner Bros. Defends JK Rowling Over Trans Views Ahead Of ‘Harry Potter’ TV Series


JK Rowling’s right to express her personal views has been defended by Warner Bros, as the studio prepares to film the new 'Harry Potter' TV series.

The Times of London reports that the studio has released a statement clarifying its support for the author, who has faced widespread criticism in recent years for her views on trans and women’s rights. The studio said: “We are proud to once again tell the story of Harry Potter — the heartwarming books that speak to the power of friendship, resolve and acceptance. The young stars of her films, including Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, have spoken up, criticising her stance.
