Throughout the years, the “Summer Time” artist has consistently maintained his innocence and continued to seek to overturn his conviction. In a crucial ruling, the Privy Council found that including the compromised juror was "fatal to the safety of the convictions which followed" and breached the defendants' right to a fair trial.
