VMAs Switches Date Due To Presidential Debate

MTV’s Video Music Awards changed its date after falling on the day of the Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris, the 59-year-old Democratic candidate, previously addressed her opponent at a campaign rally, saying, “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider meeting me on the debate stage because, as the saying goes, ‘If you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.’” Shortly afterward, the 78-year-old Republican candidate shared during a press conference, “I think it’s very important to have debates, and we’ve agreed with Fox on a date of September 4. It is also acknowledged that the awards show will take place on a significant day for the national, which marks the terror attacks on September 11.
