The 2006 original, which was directed by Nicholas Mastandrea, followed a group of friends who set out for a relaxing weekend on a remote island, but who find themselves besieged by a pack of vicious canines. The new movie will, the producers said, follow a group of people searching for abandoned dogs on a remote island, with terror-filled consequences.
