BeautyTok creators have been sharing with their followers how they baste their faces overnight with the ointment to solve a range of issues from acne, fine lines and scarring. Despite its huge following and avid fans, the practice has been criticised by Dr. Hasan Benar, dermatologist at Dr. Elif Clinic, who explained it could cause long-term issues. Dr Benar revealed that anyone looking for an overnight cream should consider products that are lightweight, non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores), and designed to support skin repair and renewal.
