Vincent D’Onofrio Joins Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Caught Stealing’
Sony's 'Caught Stealing' has tapped Vincent D'Onofrio for a supporting role in the Darren Aronofsky flick, led by Austin Butler.
Based on the books by Charlie Huston, who adapted the screenplay, the film follows Hank Thompson (Butler), a burned-out former baseball player, as he’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ’90s NYC. Otherwise known for turns in films like Full Metal Jacket, Men in Black, and Jurassic World, the actor’s most recent big-screen credits include F. Gary Gray’s Netflix heist pic Lift, Sony’s Dumb Money, and Ethan Hawke’s Wildcat. Headed up by Aronofsky and partner Ari Handel, Protozoa earlier this year signed on to produce a feature adaptation of 19-year-old Harvard student Wesley Wang’s short Nothing, Except Everything, which landed at TriStar Pictures in a competitive situation.
