Vincent Cassel Cast As Quasimodo In Netflix Film Retelling Story Of Notre-Dame Bell-Ringer
Netflix's film reimagines the life of Quasimodo, said to have inspired Victor Hugo’s iconic character. Vincent Cassel has been cast in the role.
The streaming service has greenlit a retelling of the life of Quasimodo, the man said to have inspired Victor Hugo’s bell-ringer in The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Jean-Francois Richet ( Plane) is set to direct a script penned by Eric Besnard ( Wrath of Man). Quasimodo was depicted by Anthony Hopkins in 1982’s The Hunchback of NotreDame, while Tom Hulce voiced the role in Disney’s 1996 animation.
