The comedy, which skewers celebrity culture and depicts Staples’ surreal adventures, comes after roles in the films “Dope” and “White Boys Can’t Jump” and series like “Insecure” and “Abbott Elementary.” You ask a lot of people who know me personally, and I’m hyper-successful and I’ve made it to the upper echelon. It’s a commentary on the world around us and how we deal with certain things, and as long as there’s more life to live, you can always adopt that format.
