Vin Diesel Vows to ‘Film the Rest’ of ‘Fast X: Part 2’ in Los Angeles After Wildfires: ‘We Will Finally Return Home’

Vin Diesel said on social media that the rest of 'Fast X: Part 2' will shoot in Los Angeles to help the economy recover from the wildfires.

Vin Diesel announced that “ Fast X: Part 2 ” will finish shooting in Los Angeles, the city that provided the setting for the first film in the long-running franchise, as a way to bolster a local economy that’s been hit hard by devastating wildfires. On Instagram, Diesel said that Jordana Brewster, his co-star in the series, reached out to him and urged him to press Universal to move the rest of the filming to Los Angeles, saying that the city “needs it now more than ever.” It’s unclear how much more of “Fast X: Part 2” is left to shoot. Although the first film, “The Fast and the Furious,” focused on a Los Angeles street racing crew run by Diesel’s Dom Toretto, the series has subsequently moved to several international locales, including Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, London and Havana.
