Five people have been charged in connection with actor Matthew Perry's death from an accidental ketamine overdose last October, United States Attorney Martin Estrada told a press briefing

In a press briefing, United States Attorney Martin Estrada announced that five individuals have been charged regarding the accidental ketamine overdose that led to actor Matthew Perry's death last October. The indictment also states that Dr Plasencia, who works at an urgent care facility, strove to deliver the narcotic to Perry even though he was aware of the actor's past struggles with substance misuse. Matthew Perry's personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa; another doctor, Mark Chavez; and Erik Fleming, an acquaintance of the actor, face separate charges including conspiracy to distribute ketamine, as per a source who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.
