Vertical Takes U.S. Rights To Francesca Eastwood Thriller ‘Clawfoot’

'Clawfoot,' an indie thriller starring Francesca Eastwood, has been acquired by Vertical for U.S. distribution.

In the film, which will be released July 19, an upper-class suburban housewife (Eastwood) is psychologically terrorized by a manipulative contractor (Gibson) remodeling her bathroom… until she partners with her BFF (Culpo) to turn the tables and a twisted battle of wits ensues with deliciously unexpected results. Marking the directorial debut of Michael Day, whose producing credits include last year’s Uma Thurman-Samuel L. Jackson reteam The Kill Room and Lionsgate’s Rogue Warfare trilogy, the film is written by April Wolfe (Blumhouse’s Black Christmas). SVP of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi negotiated the deal on behalf of Vertical, with Great Escape President Donnermeyer repping the production.
