BBC Radio 2's Vernon Kay has given his fans a health update after he had to skip his mid-morning show on Tuesday, 24 September, sparking concern among his listeners. Today Wednesday, 25 September, as he opened his show, he described his recent illness as "horrific" but reassured fans that he was on the mend after taking the necessary time to rest. Despite the discomfort, he soldiered on for the full two and a half hours, even welcoming Zoe Ball back after her break and launching the new Radio 2 Children in Need campaign, which will feature newcomer Paddy McGuinness.
