Vernon Kay sends message to ex-BBC co-star after 'shock' cancer diagnosis

BBC Radio 2 star Vernon Kay has shared a message of support to his former colleague Chris Stark, after the BBC Radio 1 presenter revealed he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer

Vernon said during the show: "We should talk about our dear friend Chris Stark, because he announced on his social media yesterday that he's had testicular cancer." The discussion followed another serious health revelation Vernon addressed earlier on air with Fearne Cotton, who recounted her own scare last year when she underwent surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jaw. Upon discussing his own actions in support of Chris, Vernon revealed: "Yeah, I sent him a voice note, and I think he's back on-air this morning with our old friend Jordan North doing what they do, and it's interesting – just go and have a fumble."
