Vernon Kay forced to apologise after making awkward on-air blunder

Vernon Kay was left red-faced after he accidentally swore live on air during his BBC Radio 2 show - and was forced to apologise to his listeners for the blunder

Reading a note from a listener live on-air, he said: "Hey Vern, can you wish a happy 100th anniversary to the Vernon Building Society in Stockport." "And as I'm reading this they're burying a time capsule with pupils from St Joseph's Primary School containing everything that's great about Greater Manchester which will be opened in 100 years in 2124," he said. Vernon Kay, the dad of two and Radio 2 DJ, got everyone on social media, with one fan commenting, "Brilliant, slip of the tongue."
