The 50-year-old BBC Radio 2 host told his listeners that the little chihuahua he and wife Tess Daly dote on had recently endured a successful operation to battle the disease. Sadly, this intersection of pooches and distress isn't foreign to Vernon, with his family facing a tragic incident in 2019 when Tess accidentally ran over one of their dogs.
