Venom 3 stays strong at the box office for third week in a row but new holiday film emerges to challenge it

Venom 3: The Last Dance held on to the box office crown for the third week in a row, but got some competition from a variety of newcomers, including a new Christmas film.

Judy Greer stars as a busy mom and the chairman of the annual Christmas pageant in her small town in the movie based on the popular 1972 children's novel by the same name. Two young Mormon sister missionaries, played by Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East, knock on the door of Grant's house and are invited in to speak with him about their religion. The romantic drama starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield as a young couple looking at their own mortality continued to touch hearts, this weekend earning $2.21 million.
