Variety Promotes William Earl to Executive Digital Director
William Earl has been promoted to executive digital director of Variety, overseeing all digital operations for the global entertainment news brand.
He is oversees all digital editorial operations for the venerable entertainment business news brand, and he steers Variety ‘s coverage of horror and emerging genre fare. He has been with the venerable entertainment business news brand since 2020, signing on as a consultant before he was quickly recruited to serve as editor of Variety.com. Earl joined Variety parent company PMC in 2011, serving as director of digital development before returning to the newsroom.
