Variety Promotes Katcy Stephan to Film Reporter
Katcy Stephan has been promoted to film reporter for Variety after three years as social media editor. She will also cover talent agencies.
With her advancement to reporter, Stephan will focus on news, features and analysis related content deals and business activity at Hollywood’s major studios and independent film distributors. Based in Los Angeles, Stephan reports to Brent Lang, Variety ‘s executive editor who oversees all film and media coverage. In 2023, Stephan demonstrated her range by expanding beyond her social media purview to write profiles for the print edition of actors Sam Claflin and Lizzy Caplan.
