Fans are getting a first-look at Vanessa Williams as Miranda Priestly in a new social media promo that marks the start of the new musical adaption of The Devil Wears Prada in London, England.
Williams, who made her Broadway debut in 1994 with Kiss Of The Spider Woman, leads the cast that features British actor Matt Henry portraying Nigel, as well as Georgie Buckland (Andy), Amy Di Bartolomeo (Emily), Rhys Whitfield (Nate), and James Darch (Christian). Initially, Williams stands still with the jacket closed, but once she reaches to the top of the stage she quickly opens both sides to reveal a full-body look at the striking red sequin gown, which was a perfect match to the inside lining of her full-length coat Meryl Streep, 75, portrayed the role of Miranda Priestly in the film adaption of The Devil Wears Prada (2006), which was based off the 2003 book of the same name by Lauren Weisberger; the cast included Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt, Simon Baker and Adrian Grenier
