Vanessa Williams announces MAJOR update on Devil Wears Prada musical... as it's revealed Meryl Streep looks set to reprise her role for rumored sequel movie


The production will see Williams, 61, take on Meryl Streep 's iconic role as fearsome magazine editor Miranda Priestly during its run in London's West End later this year.

Vanessa Williams has promised that fans of The Devil Wears Prada will get to hear Miranda Priestly's cutting lines from the beloved movie in the new musical adaption of the hit flick. The music for the play has been created by legendary British musician, Sir Elton John, and Williams revealed that the pair have enjoyed a collaborative experience while bringing the songs to life. Williams, who made her Broadway debut in 1994 with Kiss Of The Spider Woman, leads the cast that features British actor Matt Henry portraying Nigel, as well as Georgie Buckland (Andy), Amy Di Bartolomeo (Emily), Rhys Whitfield (Nate), and James Darch (Christian).
