Vanessa Feltz announced as Carol Vorderman replacement after star quit role following 'health scare'

Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 63, told fans last month that she would not be continuing with her radio show - now, Vanessa Feltz has been confirmed as her replacement

In an Instagram video, Carol revealed she had been experiencing a "tight feeling in my chest and I was utterly exhausted", but fortunately, after numerous scans and checks, she confirmed she has no underlying health issues. The 63 year old, who became famous for her mathematician skills as a presenter on Channel 4’s Countdown, took to social media to explain why she will no longer be continuing to host her radio talk show, although she promised she would “still be part of the LBC family.” Carol initially joined LBC in January to host her Sunday programme from 4pm to 7pm, just two months after leaving her BBC radio show due to the corporation's new social media guidelines, which led her to say she was "not prepared to lose my voice".
