Valerie Bertinelli announces she is taking a 'social media break' after experiencing feelings of exhaustion

On Friday, the 64-year-old actress told her 1.6 million Instagram followers that she was embarking on a 'social media cleanse' after experiencing feelings of exhaustion and overwhelm.

'The last six or so weeks have been…a LOT,' the former Food Network star, who recently wrapped her book tour for her latest work Indulge: Delicious and Decadent Dishes to Enjoy and Share, captioned a selfie of herself resting her hand under her chin. She continued: 'And while I am incredibly grateful for all your support for my book and everyone I’ve had the good fortune to meet, this here introvert in extrovert’s clothing is in need of a mental health break.'
