Vale Andrew McVitty: Australian music TV legend who worked with Kylie Minogue and Michael Gudinski dies aged 68
Pioneer of Australian music TV Andrew McVitty who has died at the age of 68.
Collaborating with promoter Michael Gudinski and radio DJ Lee Simon, the 'accidental producer' had only a week to prepare. The program featured a mix of interviews, music videos from both well-known and emerging bands, and live concerts with some simulcast on FM radio stations. Following his work on Nightmoves, McVitty directed music videos for Kylie Minogue in the '80's including The Locomotion and I Should Be So Lucky.
