Uwe Boll’s Migrant Thriller ‘Run’ Heads to Cannes Market, Unveils First-Look Photos Featuring Stars Amanda Plummer, James Russo, Ulrich Thompsen (EXCLUSIVE)
Uwe Boll’s migrant crisis thriller “Run,” which is making its market debut in Cannes, has wrapped shooting on the Croatian island of Krk.
Shot entirely in the resort town of Baška on the Croatian island of Krk, which doubles for a coastal community in Italy, “Run” follows a group of desperate migrants as they make landfall after a perilous journey across the Mediterranean Sea and the impact of their arrival on locals and tourists. Executive producer and Kinostar CEO Michael Roesch added: “From what we saw on the set and in the footage, the movie looks incredible strong, powered by the amazing performances of our cast. Editor Ethan Maniquis, whose credits include “Sin City,” “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Machete,” began working on the pic early on with the aim of having a first cut for submission for the fall festivals at the end of June, Roesch said.
