UTA Signs Oscar-Nominated Composer Laura Karpman (EXCLUSIVE)
UTA has signed Oscar-nominated composer Laura Karpman for representation in all areas.
I am absolutely thrilled to be partnering with UTA to jump into different opportunities that inspire and excite me, like expanding more deliberately into fashion, sports, concert tours, advocacy and producing.” Her filmmaker collaborations include Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford, Sofia and the late Eleanor Coppola, Cord Jefferson, Nia DaCosta, Alex Gibney, Misha Green, Rory Kennedy, Kasi Lemmons and Sam Pollard. As the first female music-branch governor in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Karpman implemented sweeping changes on the diversity, equity and inclusion front and was largely responsible for the admission of dozens of previously underrepresented voices.
