Usher Hopes to Follow in 50 Cent’s Footsteps to Create an Empire Outside Music
With all he's accomplished in music, Usher is hoping to create an empire with other endeavors outside the recording industry like 50 Cent has.
Usher followed in 50 Cent ‘s footsteps once before by naming his youngest son Sire, and he’s also hoping to blaze a path similar to the TV/film empire the G-Unit mogul has built outside of music. Ahead of his 2024 Super Bowl halftime show performance this weekend, the R&B superstar sat down with Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis on Thursday (Feb. 8) in Las Vegas to talk about his future and how he plans to remain a “standard” for greatness while parlaying his music-industry success toward other ambitious ventures. Ahead of his Super Bowl performance, Usher served as the latest cover star for Billboard, where he dished on the need to revamp the merchandise market for R&B artists so they can cash out to the best of their abilities.
