US music legend dies after complications during health battle


The Outlaws guitarist Freddie Salem's death was announced by his former band on Monday, with the star's representatives confirming he passed away from 'complications due to cancer'

The sad news of the guitarist's passing was shared on his Facebook page this Monday with a heartfelt message: "This morning, the heavens parted for the arrival of a legend. Freddie Salem with Eric Moore, of US hard rock band The Godz (Image: Redferns)Tributes from fans have been pouring in, with one sharing a touching personal memory: "He was one in a million and a dear friend that I will miss. Freddie stepped in to replace original member Henry Paul for vocals and guitar, while drummer David Dix made a comeback after the release of Sundown in 1977, joining forces with Monte Yoho.
