UK to sizzle amid five-day heatwave as temperatures reach 30C and weather maps light up red
Weather in the UK is set to take another upward turn towards the end of August as a five-day heatewave will cause temperatures to soar and some places will see highs of 30 degrees
"However, the expected heat surges are now highly likely to be significant throughout late August and well into September, and there is no reason as to why we couldn't see further extreme temperatures in at least the low to mid-30Cs during these developments." It also pointed out that "better weather is signalled to become even more confined to northern and western areas, with longer drier periods developing more widely elsewhere."
