UK rockers leave fans disappointed as they cancel the Australian leg of their tour hours before Sydney show

Popular UK indie band Catfish and the Bottlemen have cancelled the Australian leg of their world tour.

Devastated fans were informed of the news on Wednesday hours before the Welsh rockers were scheduled to play a show at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion. Australian-born lead singer Van McCann and bassist Benji Blakeway are the only members of the original group taking part in the current tour. They have been on the 'comeback' trail after being thrown into turmoil when original guitarist Johnny Bond confirmed via social media that he had left the group in 2022.
