Tyler, the Creator Teases New Music With Ominous ‘St. Chroma’ Video Clip
Tyler, the Creator is apparently teasing his first new music in 18 months with a grim-looking new video clip apparently called 'St. Chroma.'
It starts with a masked character, apparently Tyler, leading a series of masked people marching through the desert — his hair is in a comical, rabbit-ish do but the black and white video and the song’s whispered, almost unintelligible rapping and music — which ranges from chanted vocals to a warped chorus — have an ominous vibe. It’s all a long way from his most recent video, for the song “Dogtooth,” in which Tyler switches back and forth between a construction backdrop, where he takes a Rolls Royce for a spin, and a lush background as he suits up to walk a herd of dogs. After he was asked how he managed to create the scene, he answered: “hypo, and i took a bunch of allegra and prednitsone [sic] mannnn.”
