Tyla to Perform at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Rolling Stone originally reported that Victoria’s Secret said it chose the Grammy-winning South African artist for her “vibrant personality” and “innovative take on pop and R&B,” hailing her as an “integral” part of the “entertainment, glamour and fashion” of this year’s show. After being held annually from 1995 to 2018, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was canceled in 2019 amid growing backlash to the brand’s lack of inclusivity and perpetuation of unrealistic beauty standards. Later that year, it debuted Victoria’s Secret: The Tour ’23, a one-time Prime Video special compiling footage of A-listers Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Hailey Bieber modeling in different international cities.
