Tyla Cancels World Tour Amid Worsening Injury: ‘I’ve Been Silently Suffering’

Tyla has had to cancel her upcoming world tour due to an injury, she announced on social media Thursday.

“In consulting with medical professionals it’s become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety.” She wrote that she hopes to be stage-ready again in the summer and that she and her team were “working diligently on a spectacular show.” The North American leg of her tour was to begin in San Francisco on April 22 and wrap in Minneapolis on May 28. The South African–born singer broke through in the United States last year with “Water,” a Number Seven hit from her upcoming album, Tyla.
