Tyla Cancels North American Tour Due to ‘Injury That Has Tragically Worsened’

South African artist Tyla has canceled her North American tour due to a lingering injury, with plans to reschedule her international dates.

The South African singer, who rose to prominence last year with her single “Water,” was scheduled to kick off her Tyla Tour on March 21 in Oslo, Norway, with eight international dates on the itinerary before she intended to swing back Stateside. The cancellation of the tour comes in the wake of a red-hot streak that started with the success of “Water.” The song, which she released last July, became an international smash, taking off on TikTok before making its way to the charts. In consulting with medical professionals it’s become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety.
