Two-Time Oscar Nominee Djimon Hounsou Says He’s ‘Still Struggling to Make a Living’ Despite Decades of Working in Hollywood

Djimon Hounsou — a two-time Oscar nominee with two decades of experience in the industry — said he still struggles to make a living in Hollywood while appearing on CNN's 'African Voices Changemakers.'

Hounsou also said he believes he was snubbed by the Academy Awards for his breakout role as Cinqué in Steven Spielberg's 1997 historical drama Amistad — despite receiving a Golden Globe nomination for the same performance.
