Chalamet appeared to have snuck into the crowd wearing a baseball cap and black mask before eventually revealing himself and stopping to pose for photos with excited fans. At one point, the New York City Police Department showed up to ask the growing crowd to disperse due to the lack of a formal permit, per NBC.
