Co-created by Hollywood auteur David Lynch, Twin Peaks starred Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper, a dashing FBI detective investigating the murder of a teenage girl. Born in Detroit, Sherilyn moved to Los Angeles with her family as a teenager and dropped out of high school to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, named after the legendary teacher who founded the Actors' Studio. She briefly worked as a Playboy Bunny when she was 19 and began her Hollywood career in 1980s B-movies, such as the skater picture Thrashin' with Josh Brolin and the fantasy action film The Wraith with Charlie Sheen.
