Tupac's estate threatens to SUE Drake after star used AI to recreate late rapper's voice in Kendrick Lamar diss track
The rapper, 37, was sent a cease-and-desist letter from Tupac's estate after he dropped the track on social media over the weekend, according to Rolling Stone.
The artificial intelligence usage was branded a 'flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s legal rights' and 'blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.' Drake has sparked the outrage of Tupac's estate after he used AI to recreate the late rapper's voice in his new Kendrick Lamar diss track, Taylor Made Freestyle In making his point that the song violated California's publicity rights law, King stated the track gives the 'false impression that the estate and Tupac promote or endorse the lyrics for the sound-alike.'
