Trump White House Bans AP Indefinitely From Oval Office, Air Force One Over ‘Gulf of America’ Controversy

White House indefinitely bans AP from the Oval Office, Air Force One because it is still calling it the Gulf of Mexico and not the 'Gulf of America.'

In a post on X Friday, White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich wrote, “The Associated Press continues to ignore the lawful geographic name change of the Gulf of America. While their right to irresponsible and dishonest reporting is protected by the First Amendment, it does not ensure their privilege of unfettered access to limited spaces, like the Oval Office and Air Force One. The AP has formally objected to the White House’s move to limit its access based on the Gulf of Mexico/Gulf of America issue, and other media organizations have slammed the Trump administration’s decision.
