Campaign officials said that the former president plans to make appearances with Black leaders in Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit in an attempt to flip locales that have historically been Democratic strongholds. While many believe that Trump can make inroads with Black voters, the former president’s numerous legal issues and staffing problems, has slowed down any real progress. On the Democratic side, the Biden campaign has invested in opening new offices in minority communities across the country and has already spent millions of dollars on ads targeting Black and Latino voters in key states.
