True Colours Acquires ‘Familia’ Ahead of Venice World Premiere, Trailer Debuts (EXCLUSIVE)

True Colours has acquired the international sales rights to Francesco Costabile's 'Familia,' which has its world premiere at Venice Film Festival.

Based on Luigi Celeste’s autobiographical book “It Won’t Be Like This Forever,” the story delves into the destructive cycles of violence and the struggle for redemption. Costabile, who previously garnered critical acclaim for his debut feature “Una femmina,” which premiered at Berlinale Panorama, “continues his exploration of intense, character-driven narratives that challenge social norms and institutional failures,” according to a press statement. Other titles on True Colours’ slate include Sergio Castellitto’s “Fortunata,” which premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, with Jasmine Trinca winning best actress.
