Trigger Point guest star Julian Ovenden downplays former gig as Diet Coke ad pin-up


Julian Ovenden portrays new character Commander John Francis in Trigger Point, but his real life is even crazier than that.

Charles was a government official studying large estates like Downton in the post-war era who fell in love with Mary Crawley ( Michelle Dockery). Kate apparently had a crush on Julian after seeing his Diet Coke advert, but they didn’t begin dating until they met up again a year later in New York.
