Tribeca Films Acquires ‘The Featherweight,’ ‘Born Hungry’ and Five Other Top Festival Titles
Tribeca Films, the distribution arm of Tribeca Enterprises and Giant Pictures, has acquired seven top festival films for U.S. distribution.
“We’re excited to introduce this new slate of indies to wider audiences, including two narratives that world premiered at Tribeca Festival – Hannah Peterson’s ‘The Graduates’ and Sonja Prosenc’s ‘Family Therapy.’” Five of the seven acquisitions (“The Graduates,” “Egghead & Twinkie,” “Wild Goat Surf,” “Tendaberry” and “The Featherweight”) are helmed by first-time directors. Acquisitions Manager Shayna Weingast negotiated the deals on behalf of Tribeca Films.
