Travis Kelce’s Debut as a Film Producer Is Also the First Movie Financed by Joe Biden’s Green Energy Tax Credits (EXCLUSIVE)
Travis Kelce's film "My Dead Friend Zoe" becomes the first Hollywood project to take advantage of Biden's 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.
The SXSW-bound indie, which stars Natalie Morales, Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman, marks Kelce’s first foray into movies, with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end serving as an executive producer. Kelce, Maiello and Field could spark a trend in Hollywood of employing the Inflation Reduction Act as a way to raise funds and bolster the flagging indie film sector. Directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, “My Dead Friend Zoe” follows a female Afghanistan veteran (Morales) who comes head-to-head with her Vietnam vet grandfather (Harris) at the family’s ancestral lake house.
