Fans of the new film Transformers One, released on Friday, took to social media to voice their approval. One person wrote on X, 'I legit got caught off guard at how good Transformers was.'

Transformers One, directed by Josh Cooley, tells the origin story of the feud between Optimus Prime and Megatron. The picture follows younger versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron — Orion Pax and D-16 — as they develop a close friendship before breaking away from each other to become sworn enemies. Brian Tyree Henry, Jon Hamm, and Laurence Fishburne are also part of the film's A-list cast.
