In addition to her 30 years in the entertainment industry, she was a cofounder and CEO of the Morbid Anatomy Museum and a leading advocate for the Death Positive movement. Survivors include her husband of twenty years, Depeche Mode, Yaz and Erasure founder Vince Clarke; a son, Oscar; a niece, Isabelle Pagnotta; and her identical twin sister, the author and screenwriter Tonya Hurley. Their Hurley Sisters Productions recently optioned the film rights to Mark Dery’s Edward Gorey biography as well as the unconventional love story turned assisted suicide of Phillip and Becky Benight that made headlines in 2017.
