Tracy Beaker star is unrecognisable 14 years on - and is now a huge star in US show
John Bell is completely unrecognisable 14 years after starring in the iconic kids' TV show. The actor portrayed Toby Coleman in Tracy Beaker Returns - the sequel to CBBC's The Story of Tracy Beaker.
He starred alongside Tracy Beaker actress Dani Harmer, 35, who played the titular character in the original series and the sequel. Following his stint in the kids' TV show, which is based on author Jacqueline Wilson's books, John went on to star in big movies such as Wrath of the Titans and Battleships. Speaking about the role, John, who hails from Scotland, previously told Time & Leisure: “It’s definitely intense, for the audience and for me as the performer.
