Toronto, SXSW Hit ‘Queen of My Dreams’ Lands U.S. Theatrical Release Through Willa, Product of Culture (EXCLUSIVE)


Willa and Product of Culture have acquired U.S. rights to 'The Queen of My Dreams.'

The film follows Azra (Amrit Kaur), a queer South Asian graduate student navigating a complicated relationship with her conservative mother (Nimra Bucha, “Polite Society”). The Canada-Pakistan co-production has already racked up silverwave, including two Canadian Screen Academy Awards and top Directors Guild of Canada prizes for direction and production design. The film, a co-production between Shut Up & Colour Pictures and Baby Daal Productions in association with Spark Features and FlimShow, was brokered through LevelK, which handles worldwide sales.
