Toronto Film Festival: Tomas Alfredson’s Series Adaptation Of Ingmar Bergman’s ‘Faithless’ To Debut In Competition — Full Series List
The series is an adaptation of the 2000 film written by Ingmar Bergman.
Billed as a “searing tale of love and betrayal,” the project is a six-part TV series based on the 2000 feature Faithless, whichIngmar Bergman penned for his former partner Liv Ullmann. “As a proud filmmaker, to have our work selected by the Toronto International Film Festival is an incredibly humbling moment for a dream project over 20 years in the making,” Alfredson said of today’s announcement. Screenwriter Sara Johnsen has made a fantastic and entirely unique interpretation of Ingmar Bergman’s text, and I have had the opportunity to work with a cast of some of the finest actors we have in Scandinavia.”
