Top comedian dies aged 54 after freak accident at festival


Tributes have poured in for a beloved Australian comic Tony Knight, who is also known as the 'dog listener' after he he passed away after a horror accident in France

The stand-up comic sadly lost his life in a freak accident while attending the Rock and Cars festival in Lavaur, southern France, on Saturday, June 7, according to a family member's confirmation. Tony, renowned as a "dog listener," was a favourite among many, including stars like Molly Meldrum and Sonia Kruger, and even the Dubai Royal Family sought his guidance. Tony’s sister-in-law Joanne shared with Daily Mail Australia, "He had just started to live the life he dreamed of, working with dogs while travelling the world and having a home in a quaint French town."
