News broke on Wednesday, January 29, that the airplane, which departed from Kansas, crashed into an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. The accident occurred when the flight collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter as it was attempting to land at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
